The Saskatchewan Drama Association is pleased to announce the following plays have been selected to be published in its magazine "My Lines."

The magazine will be sent to all SDA adult members and the selected playwriting competition students in September.

This year's judge was Mr. Roy Challis

An actor, director, writer and teacher, Roy has been involved in theatre in Saskatchewan for over forty years. While no longer formally teaching, he shares his knowledge and love of theatre with anyone who would care to watch, listen and learn.

During the summer, Roy and his grandson Reid have done the Fringe thing, a chance to present at least one of the plays he has written during the year. He has instructed drama and writing at Summer School of the Arts Theatre at Bruno, Saskatchewan and organized Drama in the City for aspiring young performers in and around the Battlefords.

His play, "The Matriarchs" was chosen to represent Theatre Canada at the International Theatre Festival in Aruba. As an award winning actor and director, he wrote a play with music for the 100th Anniversary celebrations for the Town of Battleford and is working on a sequel.

Roy continues to write plays, perform and be involved in Theatre in his community.

Thank you to all the students and their teachers who participated in this year's program!
